Vista and the Recycle Bin

If you have Vista, then you may have had this happen to you or know of someone that this has happened to.

Microsoft included a new feature with Vista. A user may now delete their recycle bin See below:

Recycle Bin delete

If you are one of the unlucky few to have done this and deleted your recycle bin.

Here is the fix:

To restore it you can go Start->Control Panel->Appearance and Personalization->Personalization and then click “change desktop icons” from the left-hand column. From there just check Recycle Bin and click OK. Once this is complete, Voilà your recycle bin is back.

Netscape Navigator’s Death

According to Downloadsquad, The once great Web browser is will now be discontinued as of February 1st 2008. The parent company, AOL, of Netscape Navigator decided to discontinue the development after recent figures showed Netscape as only having less than 1% of the browser market. While Netscape has declined in recent years, it was the king of browsers during the 90’s. For those that didn’t know Mozilla Firefox & Thunderbird were built off of the Netscape code. I hate to see this browser leave. I remember how much I used this browser. It wasn’t until Mozilla Firefox that I switched from Netscape. I blame AOL for the decline in its popularity because once AOL took over Netscape it started going down hill. To the once great browser I hate to see you go. To AOL, when will you leave?
